House
Singing is a tradition for all KTJ students that stirs eagerness and
enthusiasm. It’s the biggest event of the year that brings excitement, not only
to students, but also the teaching staff and parents too. As a new born Irinian,
House Singing was something entirely new to me and initially I couldn't
appreciate the significance of it. However, travelling along the Irinian House Singing
journey made me bond well among the seniors and juniors, taught me the true
value of perseverance, the importance of teamwork and cooperation, and also the
ability to accept criticism in a constructive manner; to be able to progress
further and ahead of others.
At the end, it was indeed a sweet victory and all
those countless hours of patience and practices was worth the blood, sweat and
tears. Regardless of the amount of time spent on House Singing, it was indeed a
memorable one as we stood together through thick and thin as one; not only did
we bring home the Champion’s Trophy again for the 8th time in 10 years’
of competition, we were also rewarded with the Most Entertaining Performance
Trophy!! What a roaring start to the term - Irinah and I definitely look
forward to a victorious year ahead too.
